Indoor Fun for Winter Months

With the cold, wind, and snow that’s been wreaking havoc on part of the U.S. in the last few days, coupled with less and less daylight, it feels like time to hunker down indoors – at least for a little while. But just because you can’t use the snowmobile (yet) doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the early snowfall. Here are a few of our top tips for making the most of your time indoors:

  • Catch the Game: College and professional football, NCAA and NBA hoops, and hockey, there’s almost always a game on. Fire up the stove, grab a beer, and indulge in America’s favorite pastime.
  • Create a Crock-Pot Feast: When it’s cold out, it can be tough to muster up the motivation to prepare dinner – especially if you’re already comfortably situated near the roaring stove. Throw your favorite ingredients in the slow cooker, give it a few hours, and you’ll have an easy and tasty meal with minimal effort!
  • Catch a Flick: Grab a blanket and your favorite snacks and snuggle in for a quiet evening watching the latest blockbuster. (Or plow through the last seven episodes of The Walking Dead that you’ve missed.)
  • Schedule Game Night: There’s nothing better than a good old-fashioned game night. Invite a few friends over for classic board games, play new favorites like Apples to Apples, or borrow a few systems to have a video game session.

As you can see, there’s no reason to let a little (or a lot) of snow and cold get you down – there’s plenty to keep busy with this winter. Firing up the stove is just the beginning!
