Ideas for hosting a super fun football party.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? It’s the football season and you know what that means – it’s time to party!

There’s no better (or warmer) place to host a tailgate party than huddling everyone around your TV in the glow of your hearth. No mittens required for this one! So pull up your calendar, plan a date and get those invitations out. Here are some ideas to help you tackle the details…

Pregame
Have everyone wear their favorite team jersey, and dress your house up for the party too! You can do it in a snap – just dig up a couple footballs and visit a dollar store to get red-and-white checkered table clothes and some pompoms.

Avoid a false start by making sure your fridge is stocked with plenty of adult bevies and some NA choices – Gatorade perhaps? For the party, make them accessible by taking a steel bucket and loading it up with ice and plenty of bevies.

Kickoff
You won’t be punting if you serve a colorful appetizer that everyone loves. How about some cheesy nachos served with sour cream, refried beans, salsa, jalapenos and guacamole?

Halftime
By now, everyone will be lined up and ready for the main course. Here are some ideas….

Buy all the fixings and have everyone build their own personal pizzas. No fumbles here!

If your grill is accessible, you’ll get no penalties for serving traditional hot dogs and burgers. In addition to condiments, spice them up by having lots of burger-building sides like lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pickles, relish, etc.

Fourth Quarter
Don’t let your guests go rushing out the door without something sweet. That would be like getting a touchdown without the field goal.

Keeping with the theme, how about some cupcakes topped with footballs?

Or how about these brownie footballs complete with frosting laces?

Postgame Highlights
You had a great party – it’s sure to be the topic at water coolers (or coffee pots) all around town on Monday morning. Yay rah rah! You get extra points!

From all of us at Quadra-Fire, enjoy football season!
